The Explorer 5218 Carry-On Case is a light weight heavy duty case with wheels and telescopic handle. The wheels are self oiling, offering a continued smooth journey.
During a business trip or travel adventure, the Carry-On is the extension of a photographer on his/her journey, valuable and fragile equipment will most likely travel on his/her side at all times. Inefficiencies, heavyweight, carrying limitations and the risk of damage render the experience difficult and unpleasant.
The newest additions to the Explorer Cases line are designed to solve these problems, keeping the travelling professional in mind: with the highest degree of portability, lightweight, volume efficiency and, most importantly, the ruggedness and protection for which Explorer Cases is well known for.
Comfort and lightweight are key for any long journey, and airline travel is no exception. The Explorer 5218 case is one of the lightest waterproof carry-on protective hard cases on the market.
To achieve some of the highest standard of protection the gasket sealing plays a key role; Explorer Cases utilizes a proprietary technology for coinjecting polyurethane without joining points, which is deposited without the use of any glue. This high quality manufacturing process provides reliable protection to the contents of the case, even in the highest and lowest temperatures, for many years.
The new Explorer Cases 5218 fits and complies with the strict IATA regulations. The Explorer Cases 5218 cabin luggage is designed to be fully compliant with low-cost airlines policies; in fact, it is the only waterproof hard case currently on the market that is within the very strict Ryanair luggage limitations.
Explorer 5218 is available in three colours, black, olive drab green and desert sand. There are two standard configurations, empty or with layers of pre-cubed, Pick ‘n’ Pluck foam. See the “Compatible Accessories” tab above for more accessories.
Featuring a sealing o-ring that provides the Explorer 5218 Case with it’s watertight seal and IP67 rating. The automatic purge valve helps release and equalise any built up pressure inside the case.
Internal slots allow you to fit panel mounting brackets (KIT SUPP.EXPL.).
Add an Explorer patented combination padlock to your case for ultimate security and peace of mind.
Every year thousands of Explorer Cases are chosen to protect and carry sensitive and expensive equipment all over the world. Made from Explorer’s innovative Copolymer Polypropylene compound, offering safe transportation for electronic equipment, precision instrumentation and sensitive equipment. The Explorer 5218 Case can withstand the harshest conditions and is certified to resist temperatures from -33 to +90°C.
